2. In-Depth: Evaluate SEURAT using your data: Download and install SEURAT below to test how Seurat can be configured to query, analyze, visualize and report directly from your own existing databases. You will need to contact us to get an evalualation license file for this configuration.

• Existing customers using the Synaptic Science native schema please make sure you run the updateSchema.sql script in the postgresql sub directory of your SeuratServer installation.

Install SEURAT as a Windows Service Script Any customer upgrading to version 4.4 or later and who is running the Seurat Server as a windows service needs to download the updated InstallSeuratAsService.bat script, remove their exising SeuratServer windows Service and then re-apply the new script to install a new Service that uses the seurat.lic file in the SeuratServer/bin directory of thier installation. Standalone CFGR (licensed users only) Version 2.0.2 for Linux Red Hat Enterprise (Kernel 2.6 only) The Computational Functional Group Replacement Tool (CFGR) provides a very fast means of taking two SDF files containing sets of compounds and performing an N by N comparison of the compounds in each file (using a Disconnected Maximum Common Substructure Search algorithm (DMCSS) to identify all functional group replacements that have taken place. The CFGR output can then be browsed and structure searched using either the standalone CFGR Viewer or via the Tools->CFGR menu in Seurat if you have a license to the CFGR module within Seurat. NOTE: Starting with version 4.4 of Seurat the license check takes place in the Seurat Server rather than the Seurat Client. Customers with existing installations need to modify thier Seurat Server startup scripts to pass the license file as an argument to the CompChemServer. Windows users need to place a copy of thier license file in the SeuratServer/bin directory and name it seurat.lic in order to use the Windows Start menu option for launching the server.

Windows versions of Seurat are supported on Vista, XP - SP2, 2000, 2000 server and 2003 server.

*If you are installing the UNIX versions of Seurat or the WebStart version of the client then you will need to download and install a Java 1.5 or 1.6 for the platform of your choice. We provide links to Java 1.5 Runtime environment in the table above for your convenience. In addition for the WebStart version of the Client you will need to download and install PyMol for crystal structure viewing again from the table below (NOTE: that if you already have a version of PyMol later than 0.98 installed then you can just use that version)

If you plan to configure Seurat to access your existing medicinal chemistry database(s) then you will need to follow the post installation steps outlined in the SEURAT Administrators Guide and SEURAT Database Mapping Guide. In the table below we provide a version of the database mapping configuration file suitable for several databases from third party vendors.
